A new facilitated building for Province Police Office is inaugurated today at Pokhara.
A three storeyed building with 30 rooms is constructed at an estimated cost of 44.8 million Rupees by Nepal Government under Physical Infrastuctures Development Program. Inaugurating the building built in the compound of existing Western Regional Office, Inspector General of Police Prakash Aryal said that the police activities should be public oriented, transparent and according to constitution.
Man Bahadur Gc, Mayor of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan believed that guarantee of security will help tourism promotion of naturally blessed Pokhara city. Tara Nath Adhikari, Chief District Officer of Kaski, pointed that police force should be developed and equipped with modern technology to face the security challenges of society.
Kamal Singh Bal, AIGP of Pokhara said the police has been dedicated for public service even though the physical infrastructure of police office were destroyed during 10 years long Maoist insurgency. Pushpa Chandra Ranjit, DIG of Police presented the report related to newly constructed building and expressed his belief that such physical structure will help to maintain peace in overall province 4.
