Rabin Gurung, a permanent resident of Parbat, Arthar Dadakhark who was severely injured by fire in Panchase village on 2070 Baishak 17 have recovered after treatment. After forest fire of Panchase threatened to engulf the village as well, the locals of Parbat, Modi-7 Rapu village went to put out the fire. Gurung got injured at that time when he was visiting his maternal’s home.
Since Gurung hails from poor family, a fundraising committee was formed for his treatment that was able to collect 1 million rupees out of which 215 thousands was spent for his treatment. “The helping committee has decided to spend the rest amount for providing life sustaining skills and employment to Gurung, ” Mr Chij Kaji Gurung Chairman of Committee said. “We will give parental guidance as well as various skills to him.” Chairman Gurung added.
While going to put out fire, he suffered fatal head injury by a stone that fell from the cliff . “Due to his family problem and poor economic status, we felt a need to stand forward to help him”, Manoj Gurung, coordinator of committee said. Individuals from U.K, Hongkong, Qatar, Israel, Belgium, Panchakoshi Samaj, Rapu Samaj and others have provided financial aid for the fund-raising.
Chairman Gurung informed that the fund-raising was mainly done through social media while a committee was formed in coordination of Manoj Gurung in Hongkong.
